Lemon Skunk cannabis is a Sativa dominant hybrid. Known for it’s sweet and sour blend of flavors and aromas this strain will tingle the senses. The aroma is sweet, while the flavor is reminiscent of sweet lemons and other citrusy fruits. CBD levels are higher than average in Lemon Skunk. It contains roughly 0.5% in some tests, not quite enough to recommend it as adequate treatment for conditions that respond to CBD.
To create this uniquely sweet and tasty Skunk hybrid, the seed bank (Amsterdam’s DNA Genetics) crossed two different Skunk #1 phenotypes. The male was a prized Skunk which was frequently used for breeding purposes, which came from Netherlands breeder Eddie. The female was a citrusy Skunk phenotype originating from “Lemon Man” in Las Vegas.
Lemon Skunk may vary in height depending on the phenotype. It has light green leaves, thick orange hairs, and dense, compact flowers. It may also have dark red hairs, and will almost always have beautifully dense buds that are peppered with lime green, and a heavy coat of crystal. Heavy sativa plants will need to be stalked because flowering stretch will cause them to triple and sometimes even quadruple in height. This strain has few leaves, and as a result of this, it’s fairly easy to manicure. It’s a near effortless task when it comes to trimming considering there’s little leaf that needs to be managed.
Use and Effects
Considering it’s a sativa-dominant, this is a rather relaxing strain that puts the mind and body at ease. It may bring along strong eye/face pressure fluctuations. It aids with appetite, and helps with general relaxation, both mentally and physically. Lemon Skunk delivers a peppy cerebral head high that comes with a boost of energy and creativity, a dose of happiness, and a euphoric kick. The sativa genes offer effective treatment for depression, nausea, chronic pain, and everyday stresses.
